Dear Fran and Tony,
I was saddened to hear of Mr. Brown's passing. Although we don't know you all very well, it is obvious by your large and loving family that he was a good father and a kind man. We wish you peace and comfort as you celebrate his life today.

TO THE J.BROWN FAMILY,
Josie and I have been friends since we lived downtown and became acquianted on Logan/Befain and Short Streets. He was a constant friend and we visited with each other on a regular basis. My family and I will miss him for he was always the first to bring his papers to file his taxes. When he came around, I knew the tax season was beginning. May the blessings of the Lord be upon all his family as we continue to pray for each other.
Respectfully and affectionately,
Rev. Charles H. & Dorothy S. Brown

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Be Still
Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.
Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.
If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.
