I met Josh and his family when they moved next door to me on Rugheimer. Even though it was for a brief time i knew he was a nice person he would always speak to me and greet me whenever i came or left. I remember him sitting on the front and back porches being to himself. I say to Mrs. Darlene and her Husband Josh is not gone but only sleeping and you will see him again just like Job we all will go through trials and tribulations just pray to god and ask for strength he will never put no more on you than you can handle Rest On Josh!!!!!!!

I knew Joshua since the seventh or eight grade. Me and his sister were best friends, and when she died i just had Joshua and he was like a best friend to me. And now that he is gone its like i have no one so. I will miss him dearly and so will everyone else. But he will never be forgotten.

It was nice knowing Josh. I met him at the movie theater through my special friend, Monte Mitchell. He was like a little brother to Monte and as months went by, he became apart of my family, which became my big brother. He never had a bad attitude. He always wanted to be something in life. I must say to the family, keep your head up and stay strong. Josh has went on to a better place. Always remember God is with you at all times.

It's like. I knew him when I was a freshmen ( I'm a sophomore now.) And I didn't think that him and I were ever going to have a real conversation and be friends. But this year changed. I was walking to class one day to get my cd player, but the teacher wasn't there for me to take it. So, I went upstairs and just forgot about it, but Joshua came behind me like 10 minutes later handing me the cd player. I'm wondering how he got my cd player. He's going to tell me, that he got one of the janitors to open the door and get it for me. I was happy and thinking, my other friends wouldn't even think about me like that. And so, him and I started saying more of a hello in the hallway, and I would always smile when I see him. You can't do anything but smile when you see him because, he's a happy person, and a good friend. Then on the 1st of February, I got his phone number, I called him soon as I got home, and we were talking about everything like we've been friends for years. I think that if he had more time on this earth, we would've really been the best of friends. So, I would just like to say, even though I'm sad about him leaving. That I need to be strong and to keep going because, that's what Joshua would want.Last words he told me was that I could do anything long as I put my mind to it and try my best to get to where I need to be at. And I'll miss him dearly...

My prayers are with the family during this trying time. It was a pleasure knowing Josh and watching him grow up. He was always a mannerly and friendly young man. We will cherish the fond memories we share from elementary to high school.
