Joseph Yanushko Obituary

Joseph "Chick" Yanushko N. CHARLESTON - Joseph "Chick" Yanushko, 87, of North Charleston, husband of Madeline Yanushko, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2014 at Life Care Center of Charleston. A memorial mass will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Chick was born on January 6, 1927 in Exeter Township, PA, son of the late Alexander Yanushko and Victoria (Kobrack) Yanushko. He served in the United States Army for four years. He was a member of St. Michael's Cathedral in Passaic, NJ for 50 years and currently a member of St. John the Beloved Catholic Church. Chick was an avid golf player. Surviving in addition to his wife, Madeline, are: daughter: Diane Kobularcik (Kenneth) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; three grandchildren: Ryan Kobularcik (Alisha) of Charlotte, NC, Kyle Kobularcik of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Alex D. Yanushko of Hewitt, NJ; one sister: Sophie Hetro of Wyoming, PA. He was predeceased by his son and daughter-in-law, David Joseph Yanushko and Trudy Yanushko, two sisters, Mary Lacomis and Pauline Mesaris and half brother, Steve Antonchick.
