Joseph Smoak Obituary

Joseph Smoak WALTERBORO, SC - Mr. Joseph Riley Smoak, 51, of Green Pond Highway, Walterboro, entered into his eternal rest Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at his residence. Funeral services will be held 4 pm, Sunday, July 17, 2011, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1035 Dandridge Road, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Fox Cemetery, Wesley Grove Road, Round O. Mr. Smoak was born January 15, 1960 in Walterboro and was a son of Eunice Crosby Smoak and the late Esmond Riley Smoak. He was a former lineman with Coastal Electric, and enjoyed fishing and NASCAR. He was a devoted son, brother and uncle and will be remembered most for the love and dedication he had had for his family. The family would like to thank the staff of Amedysis Hospice for the care given to Joey. Surviving are: his mother, Eunice Crosby Smoak of Walterboro; brothers, James Smoak of Walterboro and Danny Smoak of Beaufort; sister, Mary Hickman of Walterboro; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Esmond Carroll Smoak; and a sister, Marie Soule. Aunt Eunice, I am so sorry to hear about Joe! He surely will be miss! Know that Aunt Eunice, you are in my prayers! I wish I could be with you at this time! But I just got out of the hospital today and I am on the mend! I just wanted you and Jimmy and Danny and Mary to know how much I Love Y'all! I know how much Joe Love YOU, Aunt Eunice!
