Joseph Simmons CHARLESTON - The relatives and friends of Mr. Joseph Simmons are invited to attend his Celebration of Life on Tuesday, October 25, 2016, 11:00am, in Morris Brown AME Church, 13 Morris Street, Charleston, SC. Rev. Dr. Charles Watkins, Servant Pastor. Interment: Graham AME Church, 1124 Wappoo Road, Charleston, SC 29407; repass will follow. Visitation will be held today at the mortuary from 6-8:00pm. Mr. Simmons will lie in state at the church 10:00am on Tuesday. Mr. Simmons leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Mrs. Mary Simmons; children, Joseph Simmons, Jr. and Velma L. Brown (Robert, Sr.); grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Simmons is preceded in death by his son, Theodore Frasier; one sister, Lula Lewis.
