Sorry to have been out of touch for so many years and then to hear of Uncle Joe's passing. I have many fond memories of staying at Uncle Joe's with my cousins as I was growing up.

My wife reads the Charleston paper online everyday and called me and told me of Joe's passing. She had heard me speak of him many times when he and I worked together at CNSYD. I was 30 years his younger, but he was a hard man to keep up with after he had his hip surgery. I can still see him running around the encapsulation room gathering materials and such all with no pain. He was a good man to work with and for. And he was the type of man you want to have working for you. We were all lucky to have known him. I am deeply sorry to hear of your loss.

I'm sorry to hear about my dear friend's passing. We worked together at the ship yard for many years, and were close friends. My sympathy and my prayers goes out the family. May God bless you all.
