Joseph Leyh Obituary

Joseph Conrad Leyh, Sr. Mt. Pleasant - Joseph Conrad Leyh, Sr., 89, of Mount Pleasant, SC, entered into eternal rest Friday, October 16, 2015. His Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, October 21, 2015 in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 20, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Stuhr's Mount Pleasant Chapel. Joseph was born December 28, 1925 in Atlanta, GA, son of Frank Conrad Leyh and Petro Knopf Leyh. He was self-employed. He was a member of the U. S. Merchant Marines and a member of the First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant. Mr. Leyh enjoyed golf and fishing. He was an avid runner and was a Cooper River Bridge Run contestant for 26 years and ran over all three bridges. He is survived by his sons, Joseph Leyh, Jr. (Belva) and Ralph Leyh (Diane), both of Mount Pleasant, SC; daughter, Charlotte Leyh Trammell (Steve) of Charlotte, NC; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
