Joseph Kellahan Obituary

Joseph Kellahan N. Charleston - Joseph D. Kellahan, age 73, of North Charleston, SC, passed away peacefully on May 11th, 2021. Born on April 12th, 1948. Joe was a native Charlestonian. He graduated from Camden Military School. Joe was offered a football scholarship, which he declined in order to serve our country in the United States Navy. He committed his working career to the Veteran's Hospital as an HVAC Technician. Joe was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who was always willing to lend a caring hand to anyone in need. When he was not working, he could be found gardening in Park Circle and other areas in his neighborhood. Joe also enjoyed bingo, westerns, and cooking. Joe is survived by his wife, Juanita Kellahan; son, Scott Petsch and wife, Karen; daughter, Stacy Petsch; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren, and 6 beloved dogs. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. A visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 2:00pm on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at Carolina Memorial Park, Funerals & Cremation located at 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406. 843-797-2222. Joe's funeral service will follow immediately in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at Carolina Memorial Park.
