Mama, Lori, Darla, Harold, Jerry and Sherry I love all of you and miss you all very much. Im soooo sorry about Michael my heart bleeds for all of you. The world will be less colorful without Michael being in it. I know we shall all meet again one day, but that does not help today or a year from now. Your hearts will hang heavy for a long time as mine does. If anyone needs to get away for a couple days or a couple months my door is always open.

To The Johnson Family,
Ijust found out today about Michael passing away while talking to Darla. My heart is broken for each one of you. Death has been a frequent happening in my family lately and with each one it brings more saddness and heartache. Even though we are all going to leave this earth someday, it doesn't make it any easier to accept, especially when it is unexpected.
Just know that God has his reason, and cherish the moments you had with Michael on Christmas eve and all the other times you can remember. I've learned that memories are all we have of those that have left us and good or bad, that's it!
Please know that each one of you, Miriam,Harold, Darla, Jerry, Lori, Sherry, Danny, Steven, Keri and all their families are in my thoughts and prayers. Just take this little piece of advice that I have reluctantly learned about dying. Always speak their name, never forget who they were and what they did, good or bad, and keep the memories close to your heart. Though they are no longer physically with us, their spirit lives on, and we too have to continue living.
We will all be united with our loved ones on the other side when we pass on as well.
I love you all and will keep each one of you in my thoughts and prayers.

Sherry, I am heart broken about Michael's passing. He was a good buddy of mine, as you know. He loved you very much, and he spoke highly of all his family. I am so glad to have met him. We had a hard road to tow when we worked together in MD, but we got through it. Mike is a wonderful person and I enjoyed his stories and laughter.
Be strong and stay close with your family... i know that's what Mike would want. Wish we lived closer. True, he is out of sight, but definitely not out of mind. God Bless you and your Family, Sherry.

To Ms.Johnson and Sherry, My second family GOD BLESS YOU. I'm in shock and sad today to have just found this out from my Momma. I've always thought of ya'll as my family as we all grew up together on James Island. Harold and Michael were like and still are my brothers. We were all L/687 Boilermakers. Michael always had my back as well as anyone who was his brother. I always thought so much of him and always will we had that brotherly bond no matter what. Sherry, I am so shocked and sorry to hear about Mike. My prayers go out to you and your family. I'm not sure if you remember me or not but we have met, my husband Robby was a boilermaker and passed away in May of 2006. Please remember you are all in my prayers.

My heart breaks for all the Johnson family. You were the first family I met when I moved here in 1980. What an awesome group to start with. Words cannot explain my sorrow; especially for Sherry and Miriam. Death is hard to accept, even more so when it is not expected. I am still in shock myself. May God walk you through your grieving process. Now McKay has someone to hang with in heaven. God broke the mold when he made those two. They both lived life to it's fullest and were so much fun to be with. I am grateful to have known such a wonderful person. I will miss you Michael every day for the rest of my life.
