Joseph Harper Hopkins MARIETTA, GA - Joseph Harper Hopkins, Joey, age 22, of Marietta, and a student of Georgia Institute of Technology, passed away May 10, 2016. Joey was involved in a tragic accident while hiking on the Appalachian Trail in North Carolina. Joey died doing what he loved, with whom and where he loved. Survivors include his parents, Gail and Jim Hopkins; his college sweetheart, Abigail Gardner; grandfather, Walter Hopkins; aunts and uncles, Walt and Della Hopkins, Vic and Allison Fisher, Melissa and Greg Flatt, John and Kim Fisher, Hedi and George Vinton, Ira Rosenshein, Gary Rosenshein, and Barbara Lincoln.
