Joseph Friedman Obituary

Joseph S. Friedman Mt. Pleasant - Joseph Strauss Friedman, 87, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, passed away on November 4, 2018. He was born on August 9, 1931, in Greenville, Mississippi, son of Pauline Joseph and William Friedman. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents: Pauline and William Friedman and his brother: Herbert Friedman. He is survived by his sister, Barbara Wax, and six children: Alan Bosch, Milton Bosch, Julie Dechowitz, Jeanette Linder. Joelle Elicker and Paul Friedman. Mr. Friedman was an accomplished electrical engineer who worked for the National Security Agency for 31 years. He was pivotal in miniaturizing the electrical circuit, enhancing radar technology and developing satellite antennae for aircraft. He was an avid runner who passed that on to his children and grandchildren. A private memorial service was held by the family.
