I just learned of Joey's death today. I knew him from many insurance inspections. He was always so happy and willing to do anything that made my job easier. I am surprised at how shocked and sad this news made me. He was always so happy and his happiness radiated to all those who had the privilege to be with him. God rest his soul and all of his family .

My heart is so saddened by the loss of Joey. Who could ever forget that beautiful face and personality. I can still see him walking into the salon and greeting everyone, not just the stylists but the clients too, he knew everyone. His smile and laughter always made my day. There are those that come and go in our lives, then there are those that touch our hearts in such a way that they will never be forgotten.
Just the thought of him makes me smile and then cry. Ginger , Joe and Shelly you are in my prayers. Love and peace to you all. Vickie & Steve Ebbers

I was so sorry to hear about Joey. He was always so friendly, easy to laugh with, well-mannered and handsome!!
I am living back in Mom's house and look out our den window daily, remembering my childhood on "THE CIRCLE"!! Very few of the same neighbors still live here; however, the memories I have growing up on this circle are priceless!! The parents who chose this neighborhood to reside in, have no idea how blessed we were as children, being raised in such a close-knit, fun, beautiful area! The memories made with all the families will forever be the highlights of my life. My heart, love, sympathy and prayers are with you Mr. and Mrs. Culp, and Shelley!
Much love,
Micki

I only met Joey in January and felt like I knew him. He talked to my husband and I for an hour or two while fixing our roof. I am devistated. I couldn't wait for him to come back and do more work on our new roof. I am so sorry for your loss. He was a great, kind hearted man.

For the past several nights I have been having pleasant dreams about Joey and his family not knowing of his death until this morning when I read the Lancaster news online. I grew up with Joey and he and I shared lots of fun (and crazy) times together. I am dumbfounded seeing his obituary and am so saddened. My heart cries.
My love and prayers to Mr. and Mrs. Culp, and Shelley.

Ginger & Joe, I was so hear about Joey. As you know, he helped with the updating of our Partridge Hill home. Always a gentleman to me, my son and a fast friend to our dog.He was always smiling, and often wanted to know if I wanted to hear a good joke--then he would get a twinkle in his eye & remark, "It's a clean one !" Years went by and we re-connected on Facebook. Much to my surprise & delight, he remembered the dog's name & wondered how he was doing!! He told about his dog and had his FB pictures featuring the fun they shared !!! He was a sweetheart, a kind and gentle man. I'm so sorry he is gone, but while here,he touched those he met with love & joy in an unforgettable way.I hope the memories shared will be of some comfort during this most difficult time. Hugs, Laura Shealy

I am so sorry for your loss. Joey was a dear friend. I will never forget the fun we had living close to each other on Sherwood Circle. We would sneak up to my stepfather's study window and try to scare him ( we always succeeded!). I also have fond memories of him helping me take care of horses one summer. There was never a dull moment with Joey around. The world won't be quite as bright without him.

Joey had a million dollar personality that brought smiles to the faces of everyone he encountered. I can see that blond hair bouncing up and down now as I remember him greeting everyone in the hallways of Lancaster High School. Joey was a one of a kind, and I'm thankful to have known him.

Ginger, Joe and Shelly,
I am saddened by our loss of a long time friend. Joey had much heart and care for all of us around him. I remember so many childhood times with him from Kindergarten and even play-school and into scouts. His smile and laughter were very contagious and he brought a lot of great times with his spirit. I remember many an afternoon hanging out at your house in Lancaster throwing baseball in your driveway or exploring into the woods behind your house toward the Deaton farm. I was there and basically caused one of his broken arms out at your river cabin and remember the great pain he was in as we journeyed to the hospital. We shared a lot of memories together-good and bad, but mostly great. He was a great friend and will be greatly missed. I will keep you in my prayers.
Love you,
Tom Thomas

I met Joey about a month ago when he came to my house to assess a roofing issue. He came back a few days later to take care of the problem. I could instantly see what a kind, caring man he was, so out-going and friendly. When he finished his assessment, he sat down and we had a long conversation about his past and much that he had been through and put his family through. He spoke of his great love for his mama, daddy and sister and said he would be ever grateful for their support and love.
My sympathy to you for your loss. I know he will be missed greatly, but I hope you will find consolation in knowing that Joey is spreading joy throughout the Kingdom of Heaven. Prayers for your strength and comfort in this most difficult time.

He had a huge heart and made everyone around him better. Joe, Ginger, and Shelley we will keep you in our prayers not just now but in the coming days as well. So sorry for your loss. God bless.

Ginger, Joe and Shelly I am so sad to hear of Joey's passing. I have the best childhood moped riding memories with Joey. Once when I ran into the back of a truck on Main Street in Lancaster, Joey and I drove ourselves on the mopeds to the hospital. He wanted me to call Mom to come and I told Joey she wouldn't because she was laying out by the pooll and not dressed. I want say how but only Joey could get her out in public. We were only 12 and 13 years old. Our families had great times growing up at the lake. He will be deeply missed and you all are in my thoughts. He's hanging out with Chris again❤

Joey was our beloved neighbor and friend. From the day we moved in, he went out of his way to make us laugh and made sure we were always safe and well. Joey was the guy who went out of his way to show you compassion, empathy, and kindness. Those are rare characteristics in this world, and he showed us all, daily, just how big his heart was. There is nobody in this world like Joey. Along side his vibrant and caring personality, Joey shared an incredible bond with his dog, Dodger. I have never seen a man love a dog the way he cared for Dodger. We will miss hearing his cackling, seeing him with the birds by his pond, and we will miss all those wonderful moments we shared that are now some of our fondest memories. The world is a different place without his presence today. We will love and miss you always, Joey. I hope you know how much you mean to us.

Joe, Ginger and Shelly,
It broke my heart to hear the sad news of Joey's passing.
I remember when I first met Joey as he came back home from school and started to work with us. He was a hard worker, but always got into mischief. We had such a good time. It was always a joy to be around him. I know that Mr. Woodrow was glad to see his (bam-bam) again. We will be lifting your family up in prayer knowing that the void will never be filled, but hoping that the pain will be made more bearable. We love you all.
