Joseph "J.E." Earnest Bell, Sr. N. Charleston - Joseph "J.E." Earnest Bell, Sr., 89, of North Charleston, husband of Irene Bell passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018 at Trident Medical Center. Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Friday, November 23, 2018 from 9:30 to 11 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. Funeral Service will begin at 11 o'clock. Burial will follow at Rudd Branch Cemetery, Lebanon, SC. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Rudd Branch Cemetery, 1222 Whitehouse Road, Summerville, SC 29486. J.E. was born on November 23, 1928 in Lebanon, SC, son of the late Joe Bell and the late Innis Soulsby. He was a 32nd Mason and a volunteer fireman in North Charleston. J.E. was a charter member of the Charleston Rescue Association. Survivors including his wife Irene of 62 years are: two sons: Joseph Ernest Bell, Jr. (Kathleen McGee) of Summerville and Avery Frick (Diane) of Cheraw; one daughter: Diane Proctor of Santa Rosa, CA; four granddaughters: Lauren B. Gregory (Ben) of Lexington, Rebecca L. Bell (John Pittman) of Johns Island, Stephanie Miller of Berkeley, CA and Brandy Roberts (Jake) of Oregon; seven great- grandchildren.
