Joe,
You have been my friend since we met in San Miguel Philippines during our time together in the Marines. Joe you had me in stitches with your pranks, jokes and humor and made life a bit more tolerable with day to day difficulties of making it through such undetermined choas we dealt with as NCO's but nevertheless it was a joyish time of my life and youth as memories i will always have of a good of a friend as you will always be. Thank you for the brief chapter in my life that makes me smile each time i think of you buddy.

Hi, I'm very sorry to hear about Joe. I was in school with Joe. We hung as friends in the 8th grade. The teacher we had was Mrs. Sanders. I liked hanging with Joe. He was a great school friend and very funny. God Bless Joe ! I'm in New York at the moment. I wish i could've been there for Joe's service.

Joe-I hope you know how much it means to me to have been able to call you my brother AND friend. Recently we became closer than we had ever been. I looked so forward to our trip to Vegas. We would be there right now. I will miss our conversations and treasure the memories I have. Your passing has left an empty space that our family already feels and will feel deeper forever more. I love you and I will miss you, MY Brother, MY Friend

Daddy!!! Did you really just leave me in this crazy thing called Life alone? I cant believe you are not here. I texted you just the other day and you told me how proud you were of me. You are my world. Who am i going to call in my times of crisis? you always had the right answer and a way of making me feel better. I miss you terribly but you are right, I am just like you and I will make it! I am trying to stay strong for everyone (just like you would want me too, afterall, I take after you) but its so hard! You are my inspiration. I now know why you cared for your family so deeply and would do anything for them. Tyler will always know what a great Pop Pop you were, and if he can be even HALF the man you were, he'll be ok. I cant wait to see you again you have been by my side through thick and thin and that is what is making this so hard for me. I do miss you, but i would be selfish if I said its not fair, who wouldnt want you with them? you are an amazing father, grandfather, and husband to my beautiful mother who is heartbroken by your loss. I am so glad yall finally were happy and you had everything you wanted when you left this earth. You had so many admirers and I am so happy to say that Joe Balliet IS my father. I know you were behind that double rainbow today telling us it will be ok. I will love you forever, and forever I will be your sunshine. Keep us strong. I love you and miss you more then you could EVER imagine. YOU, daddy, are my hero.

Mrs. Julie, my heart is soo heavy! I still can't believe that my good friend and co-worker is no longer with me. It was hard enough to know that he was retiring but to know that he is no longer going to call me and see how everything is going is unbelievable. When I got the call Monday morning, I just knew it was a lie because he was the last person I spoke to at work on Friday. He was so excited about his move to Florida and extended an invitation for Paige and I to come and visit and I gladly accepted. I'M GOING TO MISS MY "TU" SO MUCH! He was such a gentleman and when we got together we laughed and sang songs. I KNOW he is in heaven singing "HIS EYE IS ON THE SPARROW". He was loved and will be missed. GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU!
