i will never forget my beautiful little freckle-faced nephew jonathan. such a bright, spunky little guy, full of life and imagination. his extended family misses him deeply. jonathan made his daddy proud, and was such a joy to him for all of his 33 years. his love was freely given to us, and his loss is keenly felt.

Words don't seem like enough to take away the pain of losing a loved one. I am truly sorry for the lost of Lt Shively. I had never met him but my husband is part of the 1-151 and he recently went to some training with Johnathon. I am truly shaken by this tragedy and my prayers are with each of you. I have faith in knowing that God is in control and he is more powerful than anything and he can comfort us in a way that nothing else can. I pray for God's arms to be around each family member to comfort and touch you in a mighty way.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Lowery, Spouse of soldier of 1-151.
My husband is Sgt Robert Lowery

Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. I went to high school with Jonathan. He was always so caring and could always make you laugh. It is very heartbreaking to see someone so young taken so early.
