My brother, Mother and Father and I knew the Georges all our lives. My Father even went to the same Bible School with Jon's dad. And when our parents were younger they went to Bethel Assembly of God in Quincy, Il. together. We have wonderful memories of our friendships.

John and I were close friends since the third grade at Franklin School. I just now heard of my friends passing and am grateful that he knew god through Jesus Christ.

Jon and I kept in touch by phone and whenever I came to Quincy to vist family. I will miss him dearly.

My sincire condolences to his family and hope they find the comfort to get through these hard times.

He was indeed a brother to me.

Jon looked like Tom Selleck, and was as funny and nice as anyone you ever met. He loved to laugh, and make other people smile. A joy to be around, he was one in a million.

I bumped into Jon at Walmart a few months ago and hadn't seen him for many years. I helped him pick our his first Cadillac ( white Coupe DeVile )back in the late 70's or early 80's which was a fun experience for both of us.Jon was the kind of guy that you always remember in the most positive way. He will be missed by all of us who knew him. I am sorry that I didn't know of his sickness.

I was just thinking about Jon and how he was doing since he told me that he would have to have chemo for a month in St. Louis. I wanted to talk with him and then a friend called my office to inform me that his obit was in the paper. Sorry old friend that I didn't get to visit with you. We had some great laughs together along with Sheila. You will be missed. I wish the best for your family.
