Jonathan Eldridge Obituary

Jonathan Robert "John" Eldridge WALTERBORO, SC - Jonathan Robert "John" Eldridge, formerly of Rantoul,Illinois, passed away Sunday morning at his residence in Walterboro. He was 38. John was born December 25, 1972, a son of Jim Eldridge and Diana "Jody" Evans Eldridge. He was formerly employed with the Rantoul Youth Center, loved music, and was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and the University of Illinois "Fighting Illini". A man of few words, he possessed a wonderful spirit and was loved by all that knew him. He is survived his mother, Diana "Jody" Evans Sawyer and his step-father Richard of Walterboro, and by his father Jim Eldridge and his step-mother Judy of Rantoul, IL. There is one brother, David Eldridge and wife Yeralmi of MD, and two step-brothers, Mark Jackson and wife Deanna of Illinois and Todd Jackson and wife Laura of Texas. He has a half-sister, Tami Quinn and husband Jeff of Missouri and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday in the Chapel of Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home in Walterboro with the family receiving friends beginning at 10:00. Additional services will be held Saturday October 15, 2011 at the First Baptist Church of Rantoul, IL at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to either the Tucker Adult Daycare, 112 Carn Street, Walterboro, SC 29488 or to the Shepherds Care Adult Respite Program, 106 May Street, Walterboro, SC 29488.
