Shawn, we were so so sorry to hear the news. I have such great memories of us all riding the big machines with your dad as kids and lots of get-togethers, be it for picnics, cards and what-all. Remember when the tractor broke through the ice and your dad saved the day (and the tractor)? He, like your mom, was a truly extrordinary and warm-hearted person. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Our deepest sympathy to the family. We will miss our great friend who was always there to share fun times with us.
We know how happy he must be to reunite with the "Love of his life" Carol. He missed her so much.
We treasured his friendship and life won't be the same without him.

We sure have fond memories of Jon and Carol ( now together!) Altho we have been gone from Elk River for several years we remember them both. We especially recall so many projects Jon and I worked on together. He was allways generous with his help and advice on how to accomplish things. We recall the work parties, wood splitting, etc. Jon provided so much help on projects we were working in those days. He and his good humor wil be missed.

I'm sorry to hear the news of "Big Jon's" sudden passing, and extend my sympathies to all in the family. Jon did several jobs for me and he was always a "nice man" to do business with. I'm sure the Lord has a special place for him, and I pray He will comfort you all in this difficult time.

We were so shocked to hear that Jon passed away. We had the luck of meeting him after receiving his name as a reference from Jon's neighbor, Doug Ostein. We moved to a small hobby farm in 2004 and needed to have an outdoor riding arena built. Jon was hired for the job, and he was really fun to work with. He enjoyed chatting and "teasing" and loved to have a laugh. He did a wonderful job and we had referred him to several of our friends. He will be missed. Our sincere sympathies.
