Johnnie Timmons CHARLESTON - Entered into eternal rest on the evening of June 1, 2010, Johnnie H. Timmons, husband of Frances Huggins Timmons. Residence, Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie H. Timmons are invited to attend the funeral services of the former, Friday, June 4, 2010, at eleven o'clock in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL. Interment, Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Stuhr's Downtown Chapel, Thursday between five and seven o'clock. Mr. Timmons was born October 4, 1930, in Friendfield, SC, the son of Dorsey Thomas Timmons and Lebenan Hayes Timmons. He was a member of Folly Beach United Methodist Church and retired from Town Creek Boat Yard. He is survived by his wife of Charleston, SC; two daughters: Nancy T. Rogers (Bobby) of Bishopville, SC and Fran T. Spangler (Chris) of Columbia, SC; one granddaughter: Crystal Hyatt of Columbia, SC; one great grandson: Ryan A. Vanvolkburg; three sisters: Ruth T. Hayes of Ladson, SC, Marie T. Crolley of Sumter, SC and Margie T. Price of Springfield, MO; one brother: Jimmie Timmons of Friendfield, SC. He was predeceased by his son: Anthony Johnnie "Pete" Timmons. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Association for the Blind, 1971 Morrison Dr., Charleston, SC 29403.
