Johnnie Owens CHARLESTON - Mr. Johnnie Owens, 83, of Charleston, SC, entered into eternal rest Monday, January 31, 2022. Funeral services celebrating his life will be held Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at 12 noon in Mother Emmanuel AME Church, 110 Calhoun Street, Charleston, SC 29401. He will be laid to rest in Mother Emmanuel AME Church Cemetery. A public viewing will be held Monday, February 7, 2022, at the mortuary from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. He is survived by his spouse, Azile Smith Owens-Todd; daughter: Cheryl D. Owens-Hargrove; grandchildren: Timothy Jamaal Fleming and Azjoni Simone Hargrove; siblings: Rosalie Owens Rush, Robert Owens (Beverly), Nathaniel Owens, and Zeborah Owens Thompson; friend, Linda Powell; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
