I am so very sad to learn of Johnnie´s passing. I became friends with Johnnie
When I was visiting my friend Marlene
Who lived across the hall from Johnnie.
Later on we wrote and spoke often on the telephone. Johnnie was the epitome of the words "Classy Lady". I fell in love with her and every time I would visit ASHLEY I enjoyed catching up and even sharing lunch. I was fortunate to have met her daughter Sheryl and also was able to comfort her during Sheryl´s illness. Johnnie had a spirit that would never quit. She was truly a lady filled with God and Love. She found joy in everything. On a dark and rainy day she looked forward to the Sun and Rainbows that would follow. Johnnie was filled with optimism and she loved her life and her family. While Heaven has gained a
BEAUTIFUL ANGEL, I have lost a very special friend. May she rest in peace after an incredible life well lived.

Johnnie meant so much too me as a young man not sure what I wanted to do with my life. I loved her like a mother and appreciated our relationship. She was such a pioneer in her years working for Southern Bell and I used her as an example many times when i mentored young girls and Women. She will be welcomed with open arms at the pearly gates....
