To Caroline and all of John's family, I am so sorry to hear about John. You and he were our first Beaufort friends and how much Bruce and I enjoyed our years on Distant island and in Beaufort. You were always so welcoming and friendly to Doug also. So many beautiful memories at Orange Grove, and I will always treasure our friendship. Much love and sympathy to you and all of the family, Audrey McBratney-Bittner

My condolences to Caroline Trask families and loved ones near and away.
I´ll always remember meeting a sharp well groomed and gracious man.
When I met John, he asked if I could cut his hair. I agreed and shortly after we stepped out on the porch to cut his hair. He sat down I put a cape over him and took out my scissors and before I got started I asked if he had any request with regards to his look? Without hesitation he said, "can you make me look sexy"?
I said, I´ll do my best.
I must admit that I´d never been asked that question by a man of his age and stature.
Well I finished to cut and before the big reveal I put some hip sunglasses on him.
William was with us and when he saw John he said with enthusiasm, "PAPA you look great, wow".
John loved his new haircut and I´d say he had an extra bounce in his step.
I´m pretty sure some one has a picture.
John also painted and I was honored that he gave me a painting of my choice.
Rest In Peace John Trask.

To all the family, I send my condolences. When starting out in the business world and intimidated by his accolades, he would always return my calls and give me a piece of his time and intellect. Always engaged in our conversations and helpful with his advice.
