This came as a big surprise to me and others with the district, a huge loss to Timberland and our district, I enjoyed working with Kevin and sharing thoughts, stories and ideas about the US Navy (I was a corpsman) and teaching stories.

My condolences are with the family! He will be missed!!!

I don't have the words. I can't believe this. I'm so sorry for your loss and I know he's in a better place. He made such an impact on my Navy career

He was my friend, he was a friend to everyone, he was a mentor and friend to his loved students. He was a rock with impeccably integrity, and a pillar in the community. We have a huge void because he is no longer physically here. His legacy lives on in the lives of the ones he loved, the ones who loved him, the ones he taught and the ones he touched. His acts of kindness will be cherished by unknown numbers of people from his exceptional Navy Career and his teaching career. Please let me know if you need anything. I am broken hearted with you and your precious family.

I had the pleasure of know Kevin for 5 years. Since we both are veterans, we shared and reminisced of our good times and military service. Kevin had a heart of gold and would go out of his way to help his friends, students, and even strangers. I'm going to miss our long talks, working on our trucks together, and laughing together. You're going to be sorely missed, and can never be replaced! Love you bro!

It was a honor and pleasure to work with such a good man. No matter when I called he was willing to help me. He left a huge impact not only on me but my son as well. He only had him 1 semester but the life lessons and knowledge he got out of that class will be with him for a life time. We say goodbye for now but knowing one day we will see you again in heaven gives us peace. Praying for peace and comfort for the family.

Kevin always brighten my morning at school when he would come to the office to get his mail. Even on days when he did not look like he was having the best morning, his response to how are you would be "Always Good!" I thought that was a real testament to his positive take on life! He was so fun to work with and we all counted on his skills when in need of car repairs. Of course the faculty and staff loved him, but these kids, they just don't know what they will do without him. He was a mentor and supporter of all of those he taught. To say that we will all miss him is an understatement. Angelyn, my heart goes out to you and your children. I am right around the corner in Goose Creek if you need anything.

Mr. Taylor,
Words cannot express how we have been impacted by your transition. You have brought us lots of laughter and left us with many precious memories. Your "giant" presence was one that will forever be missed. The students, faculty and staff at Timberland High were certainly blessed to have you as a teacher but more importantly as a friend. We take comfort in knowing you are absent from the body but now present with our Lord and Savior. We pray God's continued blessings of comfort for Angelyn and the children. Rest in paradise until we meet again.
