John Stewart Obituary

John "Gregg" Stewart, 68, of Mount Pleasant, SC, passed away on July 19, 2025. His Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 24 at East Cooper Baptist Church with visitation following in the Church Reception Hall. Gregg was born in Abbeville, SC on July 31, 1956, to late John David Stewart and late Ruby Gillespie Stewart. Gregg was a people person; loved his family and friends so well. He was selfless, kind, hospitable, and the most generous man you would ever meet. He was also a car enthusiast, skilled craftsman, golfer, and an excellent chef. If you knew him, you loved him. Gregg was preceded in death by John David Stewart, Ruby Gillespie Stewart, David Loy Stewart Sr. and Judy Detyens Stewart. Gregg is survived by Taylor Stewart Bee, Dalton Lane Bee, Sylvia Hammontree Stewart, and Cynthia B. Jefferies.
