John you and your family took us in at a time when we had no where else to turn. As we grew older we drifted apart but when opportunity presented itself for us to visit you proved to be your dad's son. You ushered me around Augusta while I was trying to close chapters of my life that we not pleasant. You took time out of your schedule to help someone you hadn't seen for years. My graditude for everything you and your family has done for me and mine over the years can never be expressed. All I can say is my God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow, you will always be remembered and will be missed. Love you always Bobby.

John had a strong shoulder to cry on when you needed a friend, and a strong sense of humor that made you smile when you needed a laugh. My thoughts and prayers are with Rylee and Alexiss. John wanted nothing more than to see you both learn and suceed. Carry his love for you in your heart on your path. Know that he is so very proud of you.

We knew John for 6 years and he was always the one to make us laugh. He was a great fun loving man who loved his daughters unconditionally! We saw him 2 days before the Lord called him home and we will cherish that day and everyone we have had together. I know you can hear us ''big guy'' and we miss and love you so very much. We will never forget our best bud! We will surely see you again when the Lord calls our name. Our prayers go out to his family and other friends.

I'm still in disbelief that John has passed away. From the moment Sherri called me to inform me my "Good Friend" has passed. We all are ever mindful that death will someday call our name. But when someone is so full of life it comes as a shock. To the Family: John was a "Good Man" that loved his daughters with all his heart, And his entire family. If John choose you to be his friend, you were his friend indeed. He would do anything for you.
Rest well my friend, I pray you have found that perfect peace Jesus promised all that believed in him. And from our conversations I know you belived in him. We all are going to miss him.

Big John, my friend...where do I even start? We grew up together in New Hampton and had alot of great times. Whether it be going to little league then riding our bikes out to the Crystal Grill for burgers or just going through grade school then on to the "fun" years in high school. Seems like there was never a dull moment when you were around, I remember that crazy laugh and that smile you had like you were up to no good. You had fun and so did we. My thoughts go out to your family! You will be missed my friend! RIP Smitty

We are thinking of all that are saddened by this as we mourn as well. May everyone find peace and may John be at peace as well. God Bless.

John was a good man and I remember when I moved into the neighborhood, John was wearing shorts in the winter - told me he would never wear a pair of pants as he was from Georgia. My husband, being in the construction business as well, found John to be a good man and very caring for those in the neighborhood. We will miss John but will see him when the Lord decides it is our time to go HOME. God love and bless the family. Sharon and James Giles, Charleston, SC

John-John, it seems like only yesterday when you moved here from Iowa. The highlight of my week would be running into you somewhere around town or stopping by your apartment just to say hi. It’s so hard to believe you are gone. You were loved by so many and will be deeply missed. We pray that God will send comfort to Pete, Susi, Shannon, Sherri, Lexi, Rylee, and all of the family and friends that are saddened by your passing.

Very Sorry to hear about John. He was a very good customer of mine when I worked at Lowe's in the Paint Dept on Bobby Jones. He came in nearly everyday while working on the apartments behind Golden Coral and he was a joy to work with. I am very sad to see that he has passed on at such a young age.He loved his family very much and after finishing the apartments moved to Charleston to be with them. I never saw him again until today. May God Bless and comfort this family during this tragis loss. Such a Great personality with a great smile.

I remember John from my childhood days in New Hampton as well. John always was laughing or making me or someone else laugh. I did not know John in his adult years but I am sure he was wonderful with those daughters of his. May you rest in peace now with the angels John and may Gods hands guide your daughters along their journery in life.

Tp my childhood friend~~~ The memories of John are everlasting in my mind. I remember him as the joyful, happy, boy from New Hampton that always had time to say hello even to everyone~ even to the little immigrant girl from war torn Czechoslovakia who mixed her languages up (me). He was truly a kind person. The shadow of death pursues us all. Some of us go earlier. Some go later. All we can do is gather courage and pray. Our sympathies are with you. John will be missed.

Five years ago, when I worked at Bank of America, I waited on John at the drive up on Washington Road. I thought the world of him, we had mutual aquaintences. Alexiss would be with him on occasion. I am so, so sorry for your loss. I will keep John's family in my prayers as I know he will be terribly missed.
