John Smart Obituary

John Leroy Smart, Jr. Johns Island - John Leroy Smart, Jr., 70, of Johns Island, South Carolina, husband of Mary Agnes Smart, entered into eternal rest Friday, September 30, 2016. All services will be private. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL. John was born April 3, 1946 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late John L. Smart and Beulah Sease Smart. He was retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard and was a Veteran of Vietnam. John was a life Member of Disabled American Veterans, a life Member of VFW Post #5091 and American Legion Post #172. He is survived by his brother, George Wesley Smart of Johns Island, SC; two step-sons: Kevin J. Tucker of Johns Island, Ashby Tucker of Cottageville, SC; step-daughter, Sharon Antione of Memphis, TN; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 6605 Abercorn Street, Suite 108, Savannah, GA 31405-5815.
