John "Reg" Reginald Simpson Summerville - John " Reg" Reginald Simpson, 43, of Summerville, husband of Melissa Mitchell Simpson, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Bon Secours St. Frances Hospital. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, September 26, 2021 from 1 o'clock to 2 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. A memorial service will begin at 2 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to St. Francis Hospital COVID Division at https:/www.rsfhfoundation.org/honor/. Reg was born on November 15, 1977 in Laurinburg, NC, son of John Reginald Simpson, Jr. and Melissa Mills Simpson, of Summerville. He graduated from Fort Dorchester High School. He enjoyed hiking, swimming and being on the water. He loved his two dogs Cash and Mabel. Survivors, in addition to his wife, Melissa, and parents, are: step-son, Preston R. Mitchell of Greenwood; brother, Freeman Mills Simpson (Tara) of Chuluota, FL; many nieces and nephews; and aunt, Sally S. Neblett of VA.
