Father Simonin was such a special priest! We were members of Nativity in Charleston, SC, and he called me Little Mary Jo because I looked like my Mom. As an adult, I visited Charleston and called him. He invited me to mass and a breakfast in the rectory with Deacon Joe before I left. He was a special part of our family.

Fr. Simonin was a great man! He baptized me. He always knew where our family was even after we moved away from SC. I received a lovely card from him on my wedding day. He was always so kind and thoughtful. Rest in peace Father.

Father Simonin was so good to me and my family when we lived on James Island in the 70's. I never forgot his kindness and we have exchanged Christmas cards since then. He will not be forgotten!

Father Siminon will always hold a special place in my heart. My parents Gus and Ruth Coburn were one of the first couples he married while he was at Camp St. Mary's. I knew him all of my life and had the utmost respect for him. He was always someone I could look up to and admire. He will be greatly missed.

I know his title is Monsignor, but he has always been FATHER Simonin to me. He was the very best of the priesthood! The world lost a very wonderful person, but God has gained a shining light in heaven. Thank you Father Simonin for all the good memories and guidance you gave! Love, Monica Mulvey Mcgee
