John Settle Obituary

I have been reminded of your father's passing a year ago. He was so important to me in my life's work in public relations. John sat on the Board at Ashley Hall when I returned to Charleston after college (1970 grad) and 10 years after that (1980) - at the time my father had a stroke and I moved home permanently to be with my parents. Ashley Hall was looking for her first Director of Development and your Dad helped me to get that wonderful job. It led to a lifetime of working in public relations of various sorts. Much love to all of you and the memories of a great man and family!

I am so sorry not to have been with you all at the time of your father's passing. He was a great man and will be missed by family and community for all his good works. Your Mom and Dad were always so kind and caring to me and we shared so much fun always during the Christmas season singing together!
