John Padgett Obituary

John Medicus Padgett, Jr. CAYCE, SC - Mr. John Medicus Padgett, Jr. of Wadsworth Drive in Cayce, formerly of Hampton, died Sunday night in the Lexington Medical Center after an extended illness. Mr. Padgett was born August 18, 1943, in Lumberton, NC, a son of the late John M. Padgett, Sr. and Bernice Mae Rosier Padgett. He was a former Electrician, and had served in the Navy. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a 1961 graduate of Wade Hampton High School. Surviving are: his wife: Elsie Brunson Davis Padgett of Cayce; son: John Padgett, III of Cayce; daughter: Stacey Bernice Mullen and husband, Bill, of West Columbia; sister: Sara Jean P. Howell of Elgin; and two grandchildren: Allison and Ryan Mullen of West Columbia. Mr. Padgett was predeceased by his parents; brother: Bob Padgett, Sr. and sister: Patricia M. Pope. Graveside services will be 4PM Saturday, in the Sandy Run Cemetery, conducted by Rev. Ernest Richards, and directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home. I use to help take care of mr pagett back in 2018 he was a really nice man may he rip my prayers go out to his family.
