John Mulvey Obituary

MULVEY, John Mulvey, John (Jack) Donald, 72, of Charleston, SC and husband of Monica L. Mulvey died at his home on Saturday, October 4, 2008. Jack retired as a Senior Chief petty Officer from the U.S. Navy in 1976 and then worked at the Charleston Naval Shipyard until it closed 15 years later. He enjoyed his family and square dancing with his wife. He enjoyed wood working and was also a member of Knights of Columbus Council 6250. Jack is survived by his wife of 50 years, Monica; two sons, Peter Mulvey (Ann) of Charleston, SC and Shawn Mulvey (Lynn) of Atlanta, Ga.; four daughters, Anne Richardson of Charleston, SC, Bernadette Mulvey of Isle of Palms, SC, Monica McGee of Columbia, SC and Molly Mulvey of Charleston, SC; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one grandson, John Marcus Walsh. Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at the Church of the Nativity, 1061 Folly Road, James Island, SC on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at 1:00 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flower memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Nativity, 1061 Folly Road, Charleston, SC 29412. The Mulvey Family is being served by MCALISTER-SMITH WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL.
