Toby, I am so very sorry about your dad. Marnie and I would always come in the Red & White and you and your dad were always the nicest people to deal with. Like another person wrote, the bigger grocery stores do not have this....
Toby, I live in the Hamlets and I think I saw you walking around our block. Again, we are so very sorry about your dad and hope your mom is doing well.
Sincerely,
Ann Bilton-Burns

We are saddened for the loss of Johnny Motte. He was kind and always had a smile for us when we shopped at Motte's Red & White in Moncks Corner. Your family was always so accommodating and customer-oriented. Something you miss greatly in the larger grocery stores.
Thinking of you at this time.

Mrs.Mott we are very sorry for your lost. Mr. Mott and you were one of the few that welcomed us into this neighborhood twelve years ago. We always enjoyed his chit-chat over the fence. My son will miss his advice about the Air Force and building a dog house. A heart so kind can only be resting in the presence of the Lord. May the peace of Christ be with you and your family. Mark and I will keep you in our prayers.

Dear Mrs. Motte and family,
I just found out about Mr. Motte and words cannot describe the sorrow that Jimmy and I feel. We have such fond memories from the grocery store in M.C. and our little grandson, Brandon, with his own shopping cart. Ya,ll were more than the local grocers, we felt like you were our friends. I'll never forget Hurricane Hugo and Mr. Motte letting people in through where the windows used to be and taking us around with a flashlight so we could shop.I could go on and on but space won't permit it. Just know that Mr. Motte is with God and is in no more pain. God bless your family.
Sincerely, Marsha & Jimmy

Ms. Martha, Donna and Toby, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Mr. John. I remember fondly, the days of Lent's Red & White in Goose Creek. My Parents, Rufus and Thelma Williams, and my Brother, Elliott, all send their condolences. God Bless you and the entire family at this most difficult time. May God give you the strength and courage to get through this and for the days ahead. Take care of yourselves. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Very Respectfully, Tabbie Nichols Isom
