John Mercuri Obituary

John Anthony Mercuri SUMMERVILLE - On Wednesday, March 1st, John Anthony Mercuri, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was sixty nine. Born to Vincent & Mary Louise Mercuri in Ellwood City, PA on January 15, 1954. He studied at the University of Pittsburgh, where he received his Bachelor's in Civil Engineering and his MBA in Business. Married 45 years to the love of his life, Sherrie. He was the most caring and Godly man. His gentle wisdom, thirst for knowledge, passion for ministry, never ending love for everyone he met and ability to turn any moment into a 'teachable one' was unmatched. We will forever be in awe of how much he cared for us and the legacy he has built will change lives for generations to come. He is survived by his wife, Sherrie, their children, Rebecca, Benjamin (Karleen), Joshua (Audrey), their granddaughters, (Talia and Clover), and his siblings, Donna (Bud), Vince (Jane), Lynne (Bob), and Marianne (Gary). He is preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Mary Louise Mercuri. A celebration of life will be held at Seacoast Church in Summerville on Saturday, March 11th, at 2pm. In lieu of giving flowers, the family asks that those who are able instead make a donation to donate.prisonfellowship.org/johnmercuri Arrangements by PARKS FUNERAL HOME, 130 W. 1st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483. www.parksfuneralhome.com Visit our guestbook at legacy.com/obituaries/charleston
