John Clark Lowe, Jr. CHARLESTON - John Clark Lowe, 78, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Melody Leigh Easterby-Lowe, entered into eternal rest Friday, May 5, 2023. His Funeral Service will be held at the graveside Monday, May 15, 2023, in Live Oak Memorial Gardens at 10:00 AM. The family will receive friends in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel Sunday May 14, 2023, from 2:00 - 4:00 PM. John was born March 4, 1945, in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late John Clark Lowe and Edr Reeves Lowe. He served as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp and was a Veteran of Vietnam. John was formerly employed by Coburg Dairy and retired from Ryder Truck Corporation. He additionally served as a VA Service Officer. John was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, a life member of the American Legion Post #147 and 40 and 8. He leaves behind his wife, Melody Leigh Easterby-Lowe of Charleston, SC; daughter, Danielle Lowe Reid (Phil) of Charleston, SC; step-sons, Donald James Hickman, Jr. (Mamie) of CA, and James Hugh Hickman (Taylor) of Charleston, SC; sisters, Bonnie Gorman-Miller (Jesse) of Edisto Island, SC, and Annette Lowe of Venice Beach, FL; two daughters-in-law, Amanda Lowe (Todd) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Lola Lowe of Goose Creek, SC; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to American Legion Auxillary Post #147, 968 Folly Road, Charleston, SC 29412, or Patriot Villas, 5043 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406. uncle John, I miss your hugs already. One of the greatest men I have ever had the honor of meeting. Keep a eye on grandpa and grandma. And make sure Uncle Wade is staying outta trouble, lol. I love you greatly Uncle John, sleep in peace.
