This was an amazing man with skills. The only man to cut my hair in ten years. Thank you John rest in peace.

My prayers are with the family. Darius is going to truly miss you as well as I. You were the only one that 13 yr. old trusted to cut his hair.:) May your beautiful, sweet soul RIP. Now you and my brother Kenny can laugh it up again.

To be absent from the body is to be present with the lord. My family and I send our prayers to the family of John. My husband would always brag about him being the best barber around being that him and the children have been going to him for over 10 years and I finally gave in to go and soon shared the same feelings. He was always there with a smile on his face or making a joke you will truly be missed.

God Bless the Jenkins Family! John was a wonderful person. My mother(Mary G. Seabrook) adored him! He brought so much joy to her at the barbershop! John was a blessing to everyone who ever met him!

Man, my heart is heavy right now, what can I say, I just found out today that John had passed. My son went today to get his haircut and saw the note on the door that John had passed. When he told me, I was in disbelief. I have known John since the Family Barbershop days. We go way back. Denmark Tech Alum! My son and I had just got our haircuts 1 week prior to his passing. I am sorry that I didn't get the chance to attend his funeral to pay my last respects. Mrs Jenkins, I never had the opportunity to officially meet you, but, your son John was a great person and will truly be missed. With much love!

Sorry to hear the news about John. I am totally shocked about it. The Lord has better plans for John.

I am literally at a place for no words. My mom told me today that she had been by the shop and saw a wreath on the door and had read the note on the door that John had passed away. The reality of it has not hit me. John was off the chain with the way he cut my hair and arched my eye brows. There will never be another like him. He spoke a lot about his mom and by the way he talked, I could tell they had an awesome mother and son bond.

I'm absolutely speechless,this is such a shock to me,I found out John passed away today,unfortunately today I had planned on going to get my eyebrows arched by John,not knowing God had plans already laid out for John,Heaven has a true Angel that is gifted in cutting hair and an expert in arching eyebrows,he ALWAYS made sure my brows were just right,as we listened to his old school music,which he loved to play as he cut hair....John was always smiling,John you will be truly missed,especially by me, no one could arch my eyebrows like you John,you are truly irreplaceable,to the Jenkins Family,you are in my Prayers

Just saw him On Monday! He was a very good person with a good heart.will sure miss him.

John took me in as family since the very first day we met! He was my one and only barber for the past 5 years here in Charleston! He new my hours working in sales were usually late so he would make it a priority to let me know he was going to wait for me regardless of how late it was! My daughter and I stopped in Tuesday, September 6 and John made sure to let me know how beautiful my daughter was! I had no idea this would be our last time saying goodbye. You will be missed Mr. John! My prayers are with your family at this time.

REFLECTION:At Denmark Tec College in 1981 and 82 John would bring his clippers to our dormitory and everyone who wanted a haircut for $1.00. Man that was a steal.
