John Holmes, Jr. Charleston - The relatives and friends of Mr. John Henry "Ninky" Holmes, Jr. and those of his siblings; Earl Donald Holmes, Karen Althea Holmes, John Leroy Holmes (Cecil), Rev. Patricia H. Reed (Rev. Frank), Valerie Y. Mackritis, Pamela H. Ward and Teddy T. Holmes and those of his other relatives and friends are invited to attend his Home Going service on Thursday, October 14, 2021, 11AM at The Royal Missionary Baptist Church Life Center, 4761 Luella Ave., N. Charleston, SC. He will be laid to rest in Highland Memory Gardens, Jedburg, SC. The walk thru for Mr. Holmes will take place this afternoon at the funeral home, from 5PM to 7PM. We were quite saddened to learn of Ninky´s passing. Some of my fondest memories of him are from Liberty Hill, where we grew up as neighbors on Nesbit Ave). Ninky was a beautiful person. We will miss his handsome face and very very funny sense of humor. He was truly loved by all who REALLY knew him...

Earth has no sorrows that Heaven cannot heal. To my family my husband and I send our heartfelt deepest condolences. May God strengthen, comfort, and continue to give you all peace through the days to ahead. May your hearts be fill with love and laughter as you look back at all the memories you shared.
