John Ham Obituary

HAM, JR., John John Willard Ham, Jr., 73, of Cross, SC, a retired toll test technician for Southern Bell, died Sunday morning at his residence. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday morning, July 29, 2008, in the Belle Isle Presbyterian Church, Pineville, SC. Interment will be 4:00 PM TUESDAY in the Lawrence Family Memorial Cemetery, Elim, SC. Friends may call from 5:00 until 7:00 PM this Monday evening at DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER, SC. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Wildlife Action, Inc., PO Box 429, Cross, SC 29436. Mr. Ham was born August 14, 1934, in Florence, SC, a son of John Willard Ham, Sr. and Hazel Timmons Ham. He graduated from McClenaghan High School and attended the University of South Carolina and Clemson College. Mr. Ham was a member of Belle Isle Presbyterian Church, a former fishing guide, and was past President of Wildlife Action, Inc. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry T. Ham and a grandson, J. Taylor Sinnett. Surviving are his wife, Patricia Pearce Ham; a daughter, Dorothy Dorri H. Sinnett and her husband Keith of Simpsonville, SC; three sons, John P. Pat Ham and his wife Kathy of Bonneau Beach, SC, Michael H. Ham and his wife Mandy of Darlington, SC, and David J. Ham of Myrtle Beach, SC; a sister, Jo Lynn H. Dorrell and her husband Carroll of Effingham, SC; and six grandchildren, Ryan Ham, Jonathan Ham, Jacob Ham, Joshua Ham, Rachel Sinnett, and Sarah Ham.
