Happy Day Bro! We have had some awesome times these past many years. Im sure your all lookin down on that and taking care of me and all. So, I just wanted you to know on this day...you're birthday...that your presence is near and dear. I cannot thank you enough for your loving and life changing friendship that was the best brother/sisterhood ever! I cannot thank Mr. And Mrs. O'neil enough for kindly giving us the opportunities to share our love and thoughts. I thank everyone John Boy Cuz it's your birthday and I feel it's time! John GG; john Boy... Happy Birthday I know you feel peace now and that makes all the difference. John Gibbs had one thing for certain... The best friends in the world!!! John Boy, my heart never stops breaking or aching but you got everything you ever wanted at township in the last two. They were just for you! And Scotty got hurt and was a fraidy cat to come back yo!!! But only for you:) always loving and missing you we are! You got your Township show!!!! Believe me! We love and miss you more than you could ever possibly know. You touched our lives and thank God for you we will never be the same! Thank you Giblet☺

John you will always be miss, you showed me the art of music on those long days coming from Low Country Academy after school. Grateful dead for ever!!!

We also knew John through our daughter. He was always a sweet spirited young man and though sometimes led a troubled life, was always smiling. He is with God now, and is no longer in sorrow or pain. We are thankful for the wonderful times we shared with him and will always treasure our memories. May God Bless You John

I always loved you and believed in you, my darling "God brother" I will never forget how much you made me laugh. I'm glad your final journey was peaceful. I fare the well until we meet again. I loved you and always will. Thank you for impacting my life in such a positive way.

Wow. I know its been a few years since I seen John. But memories from our years together as roommates in Charleston/Mount Pleasant will still carry on. My prayers are with the family. He was a true friend as it states in the obituary.

My sincere condolences to family and loved ones. . I didn't know this young man - who's left here too soon - but his photo and obituary are a very touching and meaningful tribute to him. Thank you for sharing it with the community at large. I loved the "to forget yourself" quote and found that John's spirit shone brightly through the writer's thoughtful words. Thank you!

I knew Giblet as a childhood friend of my son Jon Bradsher and he was the most precious and adorable little boy. I was saddened this morning when my Jon called and said one his most loyal friends was no longer with us. I believe in this world today one who is with you no matter what happens is rare indeed.

I love you my precious angel. I know now that God has you and that you are truly "playing in the band." Thank you for loving me and being my best friend. I love you with all my heart.

While I did not have the honor of knowing John in life, I got to know him in recent days through memories shared with me by his dear friends Jamie Cade and Carol Hershey. It is obvious to me that John touched the lives of all he knew in a positive and loving way, and that he left this world a better place than he found it.
