May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. John gave me a chance at GCHS and always supported me, as a teacher and with my cheerleaders. I shared a story about his strength, with my current students, on September 11th. He was the calm on that horrible day and so many other days. Thank you for sharing John with us.

John Fulmer will be remembered well by this former teacher at Goose Creek High and Coach. He was incredible to work for and most of all with. He had a beautiful spirit and a way of leading that was demanding, but also realistic, fun with lots of humor, and brought out a spirit of serving others, but especially the students. John you will be missed.

I remember going on that rafting trip with Dawn and the teachers and staff from GCHS. John was a highlight on that trip because he was such a character. Of course I remember tales from GCHS too. I remember him telling the story on the trip about his shoes. You can't forget somebody like John.

My sincerest condolences go out to all of the Fulmer family. I graduated in the class of 1979. He was a character back in the day but one I always looked up to. You couldn't pass him in the hallway without a smile on his face and his head held high. I can't help but think of all of the coaches that I can remember from back then always laughing and having a good time. Coach Fulmer, Davis, Evans and coach Skillace . Fly high Coach, you've earned your Gator Wings in the kingdom of God. Rest in peace now.

Coach Fulmer was a wonderful man, coach and mentor who positively impacted my life. He was my linebacker coach when I played for the Gators who took time to develop me as a young man as well as a player. I took time to seek him out at Gator’s games on the occasional times we were in Charleston for visits and catch a game. He genuinely remembered me and we had fun sharing stories of our times at GCHS and at his home when he taught me a lot about hunting. I am very sad to hear this news.

Mr.Fulmer was an excellent administrator. He was fair, kind, caring and a natural born leader. I enjoyed working with him at Goose Creek High. He had a great relationship with my Special Education students. He was a fun person to be around and would provide encouragement, motivation and support. I am offering my sympathy to the family. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by many.
