John England Ferrara MT. PLEASANT - John E. Ferrara, 81, of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Urania Tumboli Ferrara passed away on Friday, September 26, 2014. A private family service was held. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. John was born March 20, 1933 in Charleston, SC, son of the late William Ferrara and Nellie Keenan Ferrara. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served during the Korean War era. John had been a marketing research manager with the SC Ports Authority, and was a parishioner at Christ Our King Catholic Church. Earlier in his career, John served as a manager at the Charleston Naval Shipyard. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Urania Tumboli Ferrara; his daughter, Maria Ferrara of Mount Pleasant, SC; two sons, Joe Ferrara of Alexandria, VA and Greg Ferrara of Ellicott City, MD; and his sister, Alice Dukes of Charleston, SC. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph, William, and Paul B. Ferrara; and his sisters, Mary Ferrara and Sister Mary Alice Ferrara.
