MY SWEET BABY YOU HAVE GAINED YOUR WINGS. WE NEVER KNOW THE TIME NOT THE HOUR BUT I MUST SAY I THANK YOU. JOHN I KNEW YOU WERE SPECIAL FROM DAY ONE AND WE SHARED THE SAME BIRTHDAY. FLY HIGH AND BE THE BEST ARTIST YOU ALWAYS WANTED TO BE. JUST REMEMBER THAT YOUR BIG SIS KANDACE WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU FROM WEST ASHLEY PRIMARY CARE.

Dear Sukran, Maria and Family,
My heart aches for you and the pain you are experiencing over the loss of John. Please take comfort in the fact that you raised him to be a polite, caring, sensitive and uniquely creative young man. And he lived his life that way. He will always have a special place in my heart for he truly taught me more than I ever taught him. He taught me how to listen to the creative voices of my students. He was always questioning and seeking more...."Mrs. Mullinax, can I do it this way?....what if I did it this way?....have you ever thought of doing it this way Mrs. Mullinax?....Mrs. Mullinax did you know.....?" He was the epitome of that dream student that validated to me me - THIS is why I became an art teacher!!! In my 20 years of teaching there has never been another John! He was truly a unique, creative young man!
The picture I have shared is one that I carry around in my heart of John. He will always be my little Batman costume wearing, painting student!
If I can ever do anything, please let me know.

My wonderful memories of John stretch back to Devon Forest when he and my son were best buds. I found him to be one of the sweetest and smartest young men I have known. I know he was loved and I know he will be greatly missed. My heart breaks for all of you. I pray that God will hold you in this time and that someway you will find the peace that only God can give. You will be in my prays and thoughts daily.

I am so sorry for your loss. John was such a wonderful artist and always had great exuberant ideas. He always made my class fun and interesting.

I am heart broken over this news. John was my Social Studies student at Marrington Middle School of the Arts, and I loved him dearly. He was such a history buff! Please know that you have my deepest sympathy. My prayers are with you.

My dear elementary and middle school friend...you taught me the foundation of being yourself and unapologetically unique. You showed how amazing people can be and your mature and blazing personality can never be forgotten. Rest in peace and know that you changed my life by just being in it and I'm sure the life of others as well.

I remember John well - - - enjoyed him in my classes and in productions during his Middle School years.

John was a good friend. He was a shockingly unique person. His intelligence, originality, and humor were and will remain to be sources of inspiration to me. I'm grateful to have known this amazing person. I will miss him. I take comfort knowing that he is in a better place.

John was such a precious soul. Growing up with him in my life was definitely a gift. I will remember him as the kind and generous young man he was.

I enjoyed middle school and high school with John. My favorite was our freshman year in BCA art class. Always making the class laugh with your witty jokes and humor. Good friend for many years and ill have to find the photo in middle school when we danced to "21 guns" by green day. Amazing person.
