John Durr Obituary

John C. Durr N. CHARLESTON - John C. Durr, 76, of North Charleston went to be with Jesus on May 13, 2012. He was born on January 31, 1936. He was the son of the late John A. Durr and Lottie P. Durr. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Betty Durr, two children Sandra Durr (James) Miller and John Timothy (Lynn) Durr. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Christina (Joe) Martin, Brian (Marcie) Bunch, Jessica (Mikey) Hearn, Patrick (Amanda) Wisenbaker, and James (Rosa) Wisenbaker, and seven great-grandchildren. Surviving sisters are Myrtle Gaskin, Linda Chambers and Lottie Aldridge and one brother Tommy Durr along with many nieces and nephews. John was a talented painter and carpenter. He enjoyed the Gamecocks and Redskin football. He enjoyed fishing, western movies and country music. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and was a great provider for his family. We knew this day was coming but it doesn't help the pain. We know that now our lives will never be the same. Now heaven is your home, with Jesus you will be. We take comfort in knowing that your face again we will see. I did not know him personally, but had been a neighbor for many years. I knew the family and children. He will be missed very much.
May God bless this family.
