Please accept my deepest sympathies. I meet John through my father, Sonny Stevens. We worked together building Marlin Quay in Garden City, SC. We shared many great and grueling times through that project. He was a unique spirit and a great friend to me and my father.

Dear Molly,
I was sorry to hear about your brother. It was so ironic when I started dating Robert, and he invited none other than John Devereaux to a barbeque. This is when I realized John was the son of those sweet neighbors of my family when I was a child.
My dad still speaks of the afternoons he spent on the corner with "Mr. John". My mom and dad still live in the same house, but the corner has never been the same. (I still remember the stew your mom brought to our house when my uncle died. It had dumplings on top and was delicious.)
Robert and I will miss "Big John".
Sincerely,

Peggy Cammer

My husband and I first met John when we bought a home from him. My mother-in-law's name is Devereaux. We enjoyed working with John and invited him to our home. The world is less one dynamic personality.
