John DePaul Obituary

Saddened and sorry to learn of John's passing. John and I were Mount Pleasant, SC neighbors and car pooled together to the Naval Dental Center, Charleston. His low-key sense of humor kept the ride to work pleasant. Hillary and I remember his young family and beautiful home on Hobcaw Creek. We send our condolences and warm wishes to his family.

To the DePaul family--wishing you peace and comfort, and may loving memories help to alleviate your sadness. You are in my prayers.
I worked with then-LT DePaul at NRDC Charleston, and, several years later, with CAPT DePaul at NWS Charleston Dental Clinic. I was honored to do the invocation and prayer at his retirement ceremony.
Dr. DePaul was always one to share a joke and take a positive view of a situation. He was a colleague as well as a friend. He will be missed.

My deepest condolences to the DePaul family. I had the honor of working with Capt DePaul while at the Navy Dental Clinic, JBCharleston. He will be remembered as a good and honorable man. May the God of all comfort be with you always

Our class of 1980 had so many good people in it. I'm so glad we were able to see each other at the Pitt reunions. John was always one of the calmest and most positive of my classmates in Group A. (It's kind of hard for me to imagine him on a motorcycle.) He must have been grounded because you two had each other's back even then-good for you! Sharing the best and worst of a very rich life, may your memories give you strength.

My husband Art Zapolski and I both were career Air Force. We appreciate all you've both done for your service members and your country. Arlington will be honored by John's presence.

Dearest Edna and family, Aislýng and I were saddened to hear of John's passing. He led quite a life, loved life and was loved well in return. You are in our thoughts and prayers as you bid farewell to this amazing soul.

Capt DePaul was awesome, i was stationed with him when he was a CDR. Learned so much from him. Just an overall nice guy.

He was a mentor to me for many years! He was an amazing leader!

I always enjoyed talking to John one on one. Always felt there was a depth to him that I wanted to get to know.
