John Cunane Obituary

CUNANE, John John Francis Cunane, of Mount Pleasant, husband to Diane D. Cunane died, Monday June 25th, 2007 at a local Hospital. He was born January 15th, 1933 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Patrick Joseph Cunane and Margaret Cornish . John Cunane, a retired railroad engineer had many passions which included NASCAR, Drag Racing, Football and Fishing. He was member of The Knights of Columbus 4th Degree in Pennsylvania. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be sadly missed by his wife Dianne S. Cunane of Mount Pleasant, his four sons; Steven P. Cunane of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl, John F. Cunane and his wife Barbara of Glassboro, NJ, Patrick J. Cunane of Williamstown, NJ, William L. Cunane of Henderson, MD. He will additionally be missed by his stepchildren William W. Watson and his wife Jane of Sullivan's Island, Judith Ann Watson of Brigantine, NJ, Matthew C. Watson and his wife Katie of Mount Pleasant. John's eight grandchildren and five step grandchildren include Christopher, John, Jennifer, Kelly, Thomas, Jacob, Brooke, Cara, Katie, Tori, Samantha, Hunter and TJ. A Memorial will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, June 27th 2007 at Stella Maris Catholic Church, Sullivan's Island. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Kidney Foundation of SC, 500 Taylor Street, Suite 101, Columbia, SC 29201 and/or The American Diabetes Association Devine street Columbia, SC 29404 Condolences may be made via www.mcalister-smith.com.
