John E. Cornell, Jr. Holly Hill, SC - John "Jay" Edward Cornell, Jr., 40, of Holly Hill, passed away on Sunday October 7, 2018. The visitation will be held on Friday evening, October 12, 2018 from 6 until 8 o'clock in Parks Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Saturday afternoon, October 13, 2018 at 1 o'clock in Parks Funeral Home Chapel. Flowers will be accepted. Burial will follow in Summerville Cemetery. Jay was born on January 29, 1978 in Jacksonville, FL, a son of John Edward Cornell, Sr. and the late Sherry Lynn Little Cornell. Jay loved spending time with his family as well as racing and hunting. Jay is survived by his father John E. Cornell, Sr. (Kimberly) of Holly Hill; son Timothy Cornell of Johns Island; daughters Brittany and Kimberly Cornell of Holly Hill; brothers Joseph "Wesley" Cornell and John Lutz of Holly Hill; sisters Jennifer Harrington of Summerton and Jeanette Henry of Bostwick, FL; grandparents Betty and Joe Pascarella. Jay is predeceased by his mother Sherry Cornell; grandmother Alma Cornell; grandfather Wesley Cornell; sister Sherry Renee Cornell.
