John Bozard Obituary

John Edward Bozard, Jr. CHARLESTON - John Edward Bozard, Jr., 69, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of the late Linda Crapps Bozard died at home on Saturday, June 1, 2013 after a long respiratory illness. A Funeral Service celebrating John's life will be held Wednesday, June 5, 2013 in the Beulah Baptist Church, 5502 Wire Road, Branchville, SC, at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in the Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 5, 2013 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in the church. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC. NORTHWOODS CHAPEL. John was born April 2, 1944 in Branchville, South Carolina, son of the late John Edward Bozard, Sr. and the late Ruth Berry Bozard. He was a member of the Beulah Baptist Church in Branchville, SC, and a member of the NRA; John was a lineman with Southern Bell, and went on to become a member of the Pioneer Retirement Group. He then went on to serve as a computer technician with AT&T until his retirement. He was also a 28 year veteran of the SC National Guard. In his spare time, John loved gardening and hunting, and especially enjoyed developing computerized family photo programs. He is survived by his son, John "Eddie" Edward Bozard III of Charleston, SC, and extended family and friends throughout the Lowcountry. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his sister, Lenora Reeves. Memorials may be made in John's memory to Heartland Hospice, 1064 Gardner Road, Suite 204, Charleston, SC 29407.
