John Henry Boland Ladson - John Henry Boland, 73, of Ladson, SC, husband of Carla DeniseWebb Boland, entered into eternal rest Friday, September 16, 2022. His Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, September 20, 2022 in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road, at 1:00 pm. Interment with military honors will follow in Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville, SC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the chapel service. John was born April 17, 1949 in Columbia, SC, son of Frances Hayes Boland Wright and the late Andrew Boland. John graduated from Irmo High School and was playing football at Newport College when he was drafted into the US Army. He served in Germany for three years. John enjoyed fishing, and hunting and was an avid football and baseball fan. He was a member of the VFW. John worked in steel construction and soon started his own company. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Carla Denise Boland of Ladson, SC; his mother, Frances B Wright of Lexington, SC; son, Robert Boland (Krystal Martin) of Bonneau, SC; two daughters, Catherine Elizabeth Vigotty (Todd) of Round O, SC and Nancy Young (Mark) of Ladson, SC; two brothers, David Boland (Sheri) of Irmo, SC, and Alvin Wright of Lexington, SC; sister, Linda Ann Quarrels of Columbia, SC; great-aunt, Rebecca Dudley of Rock Hill, SC; two step-daughters, Samantha Marcott (Rob) of Summerville, SC and Tasha Gibbs (Jason) of Summerville, SC; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
