Johanna VanderGood Obituary
A beloved mother, sister, Oma and friend, she was a lover of beaches, cats and family. Ansje was a courageous woman who outlived the world's expectations of her and taught us all courage, grace and gratitude.
She was predeceased by her mother and father, Ans and Rudolf VanderGoot; sister, Cory Lublink; and nephews, Ronnie and Richie Lublink. She is survived by her daughter, Rachel (Ryan) McKim; son, David Shapiro; grandchildren, Acacia, Miles, Calum and Devlin; siblings, Rieneke (Charles) Ausherman, Maja (Eddy) Eisenmann, Georg (Anne) VanderGoot, Liesje (Butch) Grob and Edla (Herk) LaTourette; father of her children, Gary Shapiro; and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family members.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to the loving caregivers at Windsong Care Center who took care of Ansje over the last ten years.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. SUNDAY at Bath United Church of Christ, 3980 W. Bath Rd., with Rev. Maureen A. Weber officiating. A reception will follow. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)

Johanna was an inspiring and amazing woman. It was a pleasure to get to know her. I will forever treasure the time I got to spend with this incredible lady. My heart goes out to all of her family. Johanna will be deeply missed by all.
