I would frequently visit my daughter who lives in Mt. Pleasant and whether I needed anything or not, I always enjoyed going to Gywinn´s just to talk with Joey. We would discuss fitness, exercise, diet etc. He was such a great guy! I visited the store today just to say hi but was shocked to hear he passed. What a guy check! My best wishes to his wife and family. I am so sorry for your loss.
Prayers now and always.

I will always remember Joey as the kindest neighbor and friend. He was always a pleasure to be near.... His love of family was part of everything he did and was as a person

His kindness to my children, especially my daughter Kendall who grew up with Elana, is a gift she will carry with her through life.

May he rest in the eternal peace of Christ´s loving care .

I knew Joey from Gwynn´s. I was in there often with my wife who liked to shop there. Joey helped me get out of my button down Yuppie comfort zone into a new appreciation for Italian style and he introduced me to the vast array of Italian brands. He always had a smile and a kind word and time to talk for a moment. His fashion sense was perfect and he paid attention to what his customers wanted. I had total confidence in his recommendations and sure will miss him. Happy Birthday and Happy Father´s Day in heaven Joey.

Joey was one of the kindest men I have ever met! He greeted me at Gwynn’s when I walked through the door. I always spoke to him about my nephew that was a recent USC graduate! He always had something wonderful to say. I thank God everyday that I met someone as kind and remarkable as Joey! RIP and know what an impact you make on so many people.

What a shock. Like many, I got to know Joey at Gwynn´s.
I was far from his biggest customer, but you´d never know it from the way he greeted and talked with me. He was unfailingly gracious and friendly.
May your memories and faith see you through this very difficult time. I´m so very sorry for your loss.
